Fellow Homeowners,
I've just learned that a number of HOA's have recently taken on trash and recycling collection as a service to their members. The results have been dramatic for those HOA members in the form of 40-50% reduction in homeowner trash/recycling bills. The way it works is that the HOA puts out a request for bids, the trash companies, like Western, Town and Country, etc., then bid for that contract. The bids have come in with greatly reduced fees.
To do this in Heatherwood, we first have to determine how many homeowners are interested and would be willing to commit to a 12 month agreement for trash and recycling collections.
